Community

CommunityBL

The people who live in your local area have news and events they would like to share.  With Community, you give power to the people in providing your broadcast with content that matters most to the viewers of your area; content not available in mass media.

Complementing Chameleon’s proven ease and efficiency in managing automated data feeds, the cloud-based Community provides a publicly-accessible portal for the submission of information such as school closings, special events, local sports scores, public interest announcements and more.

Community for your Newsroom

Community allows your newsroom to access true hyper-local news channels.  Combined with Chameleon, your network can display hyper-local data provided by government officials, local organizers, families and individuals, and distribute that information to an infinite amount of regions.

Community's powerful features include:

  • An intuitive, web-based interface
  • Content Groups to partition and restrict content access.
  • Content Group Administrators enables users access in providing Content Editors user access.
  • The BLADE RESTful web API for custom integration.
  • Dynamic fields for complete flexibility in supporting any type of data.
  • Chameleon instances can easily subscribe to Community feeds using Flow

A shared, multi-tenant Community cloud instance is available for FREE for Chameleon customers with active maintenance agreements.

Extending its value beyond the Chameleon user base, new customers can also purchase dedicated Community subscriptions for standalone use.  This will allow you to retrieve data through the BLADE interface as a public information aggregation portal for websites, character generators and digital signage.

A dedicated cloud instance can be purchased on a monthly or yearly subscription basis, providing complete user administration and Content Group management functionality.
